Privacy policy.
What we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and how to reach us about it. Plain English, because it is your information.
This policy covers dezenyo.com, run by Dezenyo, a studio that designs and runs online stores for makers. It explains what we collect when you ask for a free concept, book a call, email us, or just look around, and what we do (and never do) with it. If anything here is unclear, email us and a real person will answer.
What we collect
When you ask for a free concept
The free-concept form asks for your brand name and the link to where you sell now, and optionally what you make, whether you already have a website (and its link), how you want your store to feel, and your name and email so we can send the concept and reach you about the call. You choose what to share. Only the brand name, store link, and email are needed for us to build and send a concept.
When you book a call or email us
If you book a call, we collect your name and email to schedule it. If you email us directly, we keep your message and contact details so we can reply.
When you start a trial
If you start a 30-day trial, your subscription is handled by Whop and your store's payments run on your own Stripe account. Those are set up under Whop's and Stripe's own terms and privacy policies. This site itself never takes or stores card or payment details.
Automatically, when you visit
Like most sites, we collect basic, non-identifying usage data: which pages you view, roughly where you are by country, your device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use this to see which pages actually help so we can make the site better. See Cookies and analytics below for the tools and how to opt out.
How we use it
- To build your free concept and send it to you.
- To talk to you about your store, the call, and (if you go ahead) getting set up.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.
- To answer your questions and any privacy request.
We never sell or rent your details. No data brokers, no advertising lists, no surprise newsletters. Your details come to us to do the thing you asked for, and nothing else.
Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (such as _ga) so it can tell a returning visit from a new one and count visitors roughly. Cloudflare's visitor analytics is cookieless and does not follow you across other sites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not show ads.
You can opt out of analytics any time, and the site still works exactly the same:
- Install Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window.
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, if it offers them.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry (your form answers or emails) for as long as we are in touch about your store, and a reasonable time after, then delete it. Analytics data is held by Google and Cloudflare under their own default retention periods. You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email us and we will sort it out. We handle personal information in line with applicable privacy laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles.
Children
This site and our service are for business owners. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we will make the change clear.
Reaching us
Any privacy question, correction, or deletion request, write to [email protected] and a human will answer. There is exactly one of us, so it really will be a person.
